Welcome to Today.com. This community forum is called the Online Professor at onlineprofessor.today.com.  The blog is updated every week; so check back often for the latest tips and best practices.

I’m looking forward to discussing issues and fielding questions about online education — its future, its credibility, its benefits and its challenges.

The diversity of voices in an online classroom is quite exceptional because enrollment is not limited to location. And so online learning environments have benefited from the openness created by the Internet culture.  With this openness comes benefits and challenges. Let’s discuss them together. Of course, let’s have a little fun while we’re at it. We work hard enough; so let’s be positive and encouraging, particularly to those who need that extra support to reach their educational goals.Smile

I have been an instructor in the traditional classroom environment and in the online environment for nearly a decade, and I believe that educational issues are always pertinent. I am an east coast native of Brooklyn, but now reside in southern New Jersey.  I welcome all perspectives and look forward to really exploring educational issues that make us all better learners and educators.
